The other Canal Street thread has become a little unwieldy. Anyone have any preferences or ideas for pre-show gatherings? I've already suggested Uno's Chicago Grill, but do we want to do that both nights?
Doors at Canal Street open at 8 on Saturday & 7 on Sunday, which means the lines will start forming at 7 & 6.
Lines will start at
5pm. Trust me. Not because I'll be there, but because I used to get there that early... I'd recommend
anything but Uno's... but since I'm not meeting y'all for dinner... don't listen to me.
My recommendations for
non-chain eating...
THAI 9 - 11 Brown Street (
MAP) - Thai & Sushi
SEATTLE EAST - 33 East 1st (
MAP) - coffee, sandwiches, wraps, crepes, omelettes
ZOLA - 219 N. Patterson (
MAP) - pseudo-european american sit-down place... kind of pretentious for being located in a parking garage... but a kick ass black bean burrito assuages any ill-will... plus it's partially owned by the owner of Seattle East (my fav lunch spot).
DUBLIN PUB - 300 Wayne Ave (
MAP) - irish pub... great beer... good food for carnivores. onion rings and veggie boxty for vegetarians.
All
way fweakin' better than Uno's. All within walking distance. Zola and Seattle East are the closest to CST...
Thai 9 and
Seattle East are the best... hence the
BOLD.
