Finally acquired the Eve CD via ebay.
Can play the hidden track of Bothered in my vehicle using forward and reverse. Probably listened to it a good 10 times in a row.
Congratulations! Yeah, I've done that.

If you play or fast forward through the silence after Falling (Death of a Tree), you should also be able to play Bothered on your iPod. Or if that bothers you (heh) as much as it did me, you can separate the combined audio track into two like this:
1. Import the Eve CD into iTunes as mp3 files.
2. Load the last audio track "Falling (Death of a Tree)" from your iTunes library into an mp3 editor (if you don't have one, you can download mp3DirectCut from
here for free -- make sure you download from one of the links near the bottom of the page). The file should be under \iTunes Music\Over the Rhine\Eve\ .
3. Split the track into three parts: the Falling part, the silence, and the Bothered part. Save them into their own folder outside your iTunes library, and delete the file of silence.
4. Delete the "Falling (Death of a Tree)" and "[Data Track]" tracks from your iTunes Library.
5. Add the folder with the two split mp3 files to iTunes ("Add Folder to Library...").
6. Select both the 2 added files in iTunes (they'll be easy to find if you sort the library by Date Added). Right click and select "Get Info".
7. Type "Over the Rhine" for Artist, "Eve" for Album and put 1 of 1 for the "Disc Number" fields. Click the OK button.
8. Right click on the first file, select "Get Info", type in "Falling (Death of a Tree)" in the Name field and put 11 of 12 in the Track Number fields.
9. Right click on the second file, select "Get Info", type in "Bothered" in the Name field and put 12 of 12 in the Track Number fields.
Nothing to it!
