Hey Bill,

We'll definitely do ticket sales via the band website, as we did last year. I'm still working out the details, but the two night packages (which will be discounted from the single night tickets) will go on sale first for a limited period of time, then single night tickets... Anyone who buys a two night package will have the same seat both nights.

Stay tuned for further details...

Glen

i'm sure other ticket info and details will be shared as they become available.

looking forward to this! smile.gif

wow how cool!

Very, very cool. I appreciate the timely heads up too.

So, besides the obvious, what will make this event different from other "triple show weekends" they've done at other venues? Do you have any scoop you're not sharing yet, Bill? cool.gif

You should try the Elena's Blueberry Pie Ice Cream it is delicious and part of the proceeds from the ice cream go to "The Cure Starts Now," an organization dedicated to raising money for pediatric brain cancer research.

If it is in your area try it!

Bill, i've started my strategy planning for the weekend as well. I'm trying to convince my wife to let me do the entire weekend. I know I'm gonna do the Saturday and Sunday...just trying to wheel and deal Friday night as well.

Gonna be quite a couple weeks. Bomhard Theater on the 12th, then the three-day a couple weeks later. Nice way to wrap up quite a year.

Good on you!

Last week I posted a message that I was looking to see if anyone would be willing to connect for sharing some costs with hotel and/or car (if needed). Bottom line is, flying into Dayton or Columbus is $100-$200 cheaper than Cincy, depending on times and whatnot. If anyone would like to hook up, let me know via PM or email soon. Otherwise I may not be able to pull this off as I have many other expenses going on this time of year.

john, sometimes there are great deals into louisville. if you wanna try to find something let me know and we can try to figure it out. if that worked out it would prob require you coming in on thurs night since i will be heading up early (around 10am) on friday morning to deal w/flowers and such and we prob wouldn't get back here 'til late on sun (9-10ish), which would prob require you to fly out on mon. if that works, you'd be welcome to crash here thurs and sun nights. letr me know...

Bill,

We are making the two night packages available starting TODAY at overtherhine.com Unfortunately, our software at the website does not allow for fans to see exact seat locations, but, like last year, these will all be located in the first 15 rows of the floor. And, like last year, these tickets carry substantially less service charges than those bought via Ticketmaster.

We will begin selling single night tickets next Friday, September 5th.

Additionally, presale tickets for all other OTR Christmas shows (with reduced service charges) are available today as well at overtherhine.com

Have a good Labor Day!

Glen

*sigh*
I totally understand that.
Unfortunately, for those of us who don't get paid weekly and have budgets to consider, announcing it the day it's available and then only having it available for one week kinda sucks.
I know it's a terrific offer and they don't *have* to do it at all. And I'd totally fork up the money right this second if I had it, but I won't until next Friday. Here's hoping. Being first come first serve, maybe they'll just keep both offers going until they sell out? *crossed fingers* If not, we'll just pay the extra, we're going anyway, no matter how much it costs, even if we don't get to sit up there with you apples (which is what we did last year). We'll just have to save up and hope the non-fan-package tickets aren't prohibitively expensive.

One way or another, we'll see you there!

believe me, i understand that too. i really think they will still be available for a while. i would imagine that starting next friday that you'll have the option of buying one night or both. i think this was just an effort to give those going to both nights the opportunity for the best seats available.

I understand that as well. It seems like what it comes down to is the folks who will committ to both days the quickest will end up getting the front seats. Nothing wrong with that philosophy in my book.

But to play devil's advocate, I'm considering waiting a few days before ordering to see if I can get a seat a little farther back. We were on the front row last year and that's awesome and all, but really it's not the best spot in the house either, you know.

Eu, you might end up getting better seats if you wait until next week to order anyway. smile.gif

Because of a complicated situation, I may be in Cincinnati for FR night, and have to fly my wife into SDF on Saturday morning.

If there's any chance folks will be departing Louavul on Saturday afternoon, could she hitch a ride? We could pay for the gas. This would save me a round trip to Louisville.

I may still be looking for a room Friday/Saturday nights. I have found better deals can be made calling hotels directly rather than internet. For example, Embassy Suites rates tend to run about $20 less per night than the web site.

Thanks guys. If anyone comes across any especially good deals between now and then, please share.

Otherwise, the Hyatt may win out due to proximity alone.

Now, any good craft brew pubs nearby (or local pubs featuring Ohio craft brews)?

Anyone who is bidding on Priceline this year, be warned, they have added the Mariott in KY as a 4 star, so you may end up staying across the river when you want to be within walking distance to the Taft. It's a very nice hotel, but a good 3-5 minute drive away.
