Not to toot my horn, but I've got good news to share!
I've been contacted by a couple of people just this week about using a couple of photos of mine that they've seen posted on Flickr. One was of a robin who nested in a decorative wreath at my business partner's shop. If it is chosen, I'll get paid for it as well a get credit for it ... that mean's I'll be published! Next there is this guy:
This photo is to be used in the following newsletter:

Hello-
You have a great photo of some highways signs for the Lincoln Heritage Trail ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/ctb57/2733860199/ ), and I'm wondering if I could have permission to use the photo in a print newsletter.
I'm the director of a relatively small, nonprofit but national history association. We have an article about how historians in museums, historic sites, etc. should be thinking about global climate change. I happen to know that the American Petroleum Institute in 1963 came up with the idea of creating the three-state Lincoln driving trail--to get Americans to buy more gasoline! The state governments of Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky jumped on board and thus was board the Lincoln Heritage Trail.
Anyway, your photo has the Lincoln highway signs set against lush green corn. It's perfect for the article, accompanied by a long caption that makes the connection to the API in 1963.
May I use your photo? You could email me at xxxxxxxxxxx. My organization's web site is at http://www.ncph.org and there's a link to a PDF of our last newsletter issue there.
Thanks for your time.
He's hoping to use it in color, but it might end up in B&W (cost for color is pretty prohibitive) which is okay with me as well.
