We are thinking about some baby names. (We do not know the sex yet)

What do you all think of...

Xander Grey Mc for a boy

and/or

Olivia Rose Mc for a girl

???

Any other thoughts suggestions?

Is the full name for Xander going to be Alexander, and just the common name Xander?
Debflinch
I like both names, just know that Olivia is a rather popular name right now.

Why, because you're going to save that info for when this baby has credit in 20 years? Get real. tongue.gif

i'm thinking she meant amanda's, for a potential name and/or idea for one.

Ah. That is what I was thinking. I have been working too much lately.

Stiv, I think both names are fantastic. Xander may be gaining in popularity as well--one of my coworkers has a five-month old boy named Xander--but if you and Amanda like it, that's all that matters. As long as you don't curse the poor child with a name like Talula Does The Hula From Hawaii, you're OK. smile.gif

I like both of those names. I personally love the name Harper for a baby.

Wow, Stiv - serves me right for not frequenting the Orchard like I should lately - this is the first I'm hearing of this! Congrats!!!

Oooh, me too. Fantastic name. I love those names where you can't immediately identify the sex, but aren't common names like Kelly and Kerry. That's part of the reason I picked Clancy for my daughter.

Stiv, the reason I asked about her maiden name is because that's an old tradition, particularly in the south. A child is given the mother's maiden name as a first name. I'd love to name a son Patterson Pfau, but I don't like the nickname Pat for a boy. I guess we could call him Sonny. Jake would totally love that for the Godfather inference (filing away for future reference). Hehe. Just to complete the lesson, in the north, the mother's maiden name used to be commonly added as a fourth name, in either the 2nd or 3rd position. Women usually dropped it upon marriage, keeping their own maiden name.

Anyway, have y'all decided yet?

I think we are set on these names. We hope to find out which we are going to use at our next Dr. appointment.

Anna, the maiden name won't work.
