Hey all,
Some of you know that about two years ago Karen and I were on our way back to Michigan from the Taft/St. Elizabeth's show in December and I had this "epiphany/moment of utter madness" and set the goal of "doing this thing" (music). There's a whole thread about it somewhere ("humble", I know).
REVIEW: Arlington Station was born in November '07 out of my solo efforts in the southeastern Michigan area. A couple months ago we added a completely "sick" fiddle player. He's really turned up the heat in our little group. We're playing out like crazy and I'm still (fortunately) able to keep the new material coming at a decent rate.
UPDATE: We have been asked to be featured on a local college radio show for an hour of live performance and interviews. This is REALLY COOL for a number of reasons, one of which is that we don't have ANY recorded material. This show will be recorded, streamed, podcast, etc. When we get done, we should have a great CD of material to share with the world. Nothing like getting studio time cheap! With all the pressures of "one take or die"! LOL...
THANK YOU!!! There are a bunch of you Apples that have been supportive of this "dream/insanity". We're still just chugging along in the coffee shops, but people are coming to listen. And they're starting to take notice.
Most of all, thank you Karin and Linford for being a part of the motivation to try... Your music is amazing, but you are even more amazing as people. I hope someday you are able to realize how influential you both are to the world around you (if'n y'all don't already). I still remember the way Linford introduced "I Don't Want To Waste Your Time" at St. Elizabeth's that year. Thanks for those inspiring words!
Much Apple Love & Respect,
John
