I was introduced to OTR by a very close friend. She accidently stumbled upon the group through Pandora and bookmarked the song.

We were going through a very tumultuous time when she stumbled across the song and I was introduced about 6 months later to the song..

Never has a song hit me so hard in my chest upon first hearing it! It's almost as if you ripped my heart out and put it there on the table....and all I can do is say thank you for making such a beautiful song.

As a guy who listens to the words very intently, I have to ask, what made you write such a song and does it come from real experiences? I put myself in the woman's life and realized how deeply she felt for me and probably still does...

It's nice to see a song hit home on such a personal level. i look forward to seeing you when you come to Atlanta (hopefully very soon!)

tracy, looks like micjelle took care of hooking you up with the story behind the song (and most of the album, "drunkard's prayer"). unfortunately, you just missed them in atlanta, they played "the variety playhouse" in little five points just 3 weeks ago.

to keep up on "all things" OtR, you can sign up for their e-mail list @: OtR Announce List, that'll keep ypu up to date with tours, news, new music, etc.

and welcome.

Wow.
I'd heard *about* the story behind Drunkards Prayer, but reading it in their own words really brings it home.
I really needed to read this right now. We're in the midst of a major transition (our girlfriend is moving to Cincy this weekend) and this really brought home how important it is to keep it real, and keep the lines of communication open. Even when it's good.

Thanks.
