Unfortunately I don't think I'm going to be able to make this show...I was hoping the finances would work out a bit better but with gas the way it is, I just can't afford the drive, aside from doing there and back in one night. If I can't sell the ticket, I might still try to make it work but things are just kind of tight at the moment. sad.gif

Anyways, ticket is in row A (front row, I presume) center, seat 3. $50 including 2-day shipping (or overnight if need be). Hit me here or at walrusoct9 at gmail.

I tried to figure out a megabus solution, but that wasn't working very well. If you have a change of heart and need a place to crash, let me know.

That's too bad Steve. If there was anything we could offer to help you out we would. A place to stay on your way back and forth or whatever. Let us know.

I'll chip in $10 for gas if you can make it. Srsly. smile.gif

I will pitch in a Saint Christopher medal, beer, or fuzzy dice for the dashboard. And maybe some gas money too.

Okay, I've got some extra Nokia earbuds for public restrooms (make no eye contact; pretend to hear nothing!) a live digital copy of MLIAF (AAD) and you can use my cigarette lighter vacuum!

I'm not taking money from you guys, but I do appreciate the offers. smile.gif

i'm still going to try to make it.

Basically the long version of the story is I had a gig in Atlanta the other week with the chick singer I occasionally play with, and she was having issues with her acoustic, so we went to a random Guitar Center on the way to the gig, and they had a used Steve Lukather Music Man guitar, which I've been lusting after for the last 5 or 6 years. In years of looking I'd never seen a used one, since the only people who buy that kind of stuff are either huge fans like myself or collectors...they're about $1,500 new, and they wanted $800 for the used one. So despite my best attempts at financial planning for the move to Nashville and the cushion i was hoping to have for a bit to find a job and whatnot, the transaction was pretty much complete within about 5 minutes of me walking into the store and seeing it on the wall. So, on the upside, I have this sitting next to me right now, but it kind of threw some other plans into jeopardy. If no one here needs the ticket, i'm just gonna suck it up and go, I think (thank you, Bruce smile.gif) but I figured at least making a half-hearted attempt would be the responsible thing to do, in lieu of very un-responsible guitar shopping.

On the other hand...the guitar sounds like pure sex in musical form. Totally worth the financial hardship. And it's puuurty. smile.gif

oh steve, it -is- puuurty.
and i'm not one to normally recognize the beauty of a guitar! laugh.gif

all that said, i understand what you were attempting to do, that responsible bit and all... wink.gif
