I went to Nashville yesterday to sightsee and to catch John Prine playing a benefit show at the Belcourt Theater for Gilda's Club of Nashville last night. Gilda's Club is a non-profit organization that raises funds to assist men, women and children who have been affected by cancer. It is named for Gilda Radner of SNL fame (also the wife of Gene Wilder) who died of ovarian cancer. Ovarian cancer is also what my mom died from, so last night was both a pleasure and bittersweet for me. It was also the first time I've seen Prine in concert, and he did not disappoint!

I was able to bring in the DSLR and take photos as long as I didn't use the flash. Wow, it did an incredible job! The venue is small; I've seen the Cowboy Junkies perform there many times. These photos were taken from about the 135th or 14th row.

Great shots/slideshow Cher. Reminds me of seeing him at Hill Auditorium about a year ago. Guy is still amazing.
