I think this one's a gem. Definitely the best pull I've had at Canal Street, and certainly a performance
worth capturing well. The bass and kick drum are a bit strong in the louder sections. Thought about
pulling it down, but I like the low end in the softer numbers, so I left it alone. Small speakers beware
The extended Bill Evans-esque solo at the end of Trumpet Child is, well, hard for me to put in words, and
Latter Days is really stunning. Thanks to all involved, esp. the band and Dave, of course. Now I finally
have a chance to go check out Keith's Friday night recording!
