I saw Antje play two wonderful shows at Club Passim in Cambridge Saturday night (with PattyPalsŪ Nicole, Karen and Gillian who was visiting from Minneapolis) and recorded them both with Antje's permission. The ventilation system at Passim is a little noisy, but aside from that the recordings both turned out pretty nicely! During the second show I was sitting close enough to Antje that my mics actually picked up some of her vocal and guitar directly. Her new songs are all pretty awesome, I can't wait for the next album (which she says will be "30% happier" than Big Dream Boulevard).

I've uploaded the shows to my website as two zipped files of hi-fi mp3s.

Hi Keith,

I was at the concert on Saturday night at club passim, and wishing I had somehow been able to record Antje's beautiful performance, particularly that version of Long Way. On a whim, I googled "Antje Duvekot Long Way," and came across your entry on overtherhine. I registered solely for the purpose of saying Thanks to you. I now have a recording of probably my favorte concert.

Thanks again,

Jon

Gosh, it's posts like this that really make being a taper worthwhile! smile.gif (that, and being able to listen to a great show again while driving home)

I'm very glad you found the show Jon, enjoy! And consider checking out Over the Rhine, many of Antje's fans also love their music.

Mucho thankyou for these Keith. I am inspired to see Antje at a house concert in Boulder in June. Woo Hoo. T xo
