I just got an email from WYEP (91.3 FM) saying that they will be hosting an in-studio performance at 12 noon on March 3. Audience sign-up and info available:

Wish I could be there but it ain't gonna happen.

Yes, I signed up on Friday and I am quite excited! I will give you all the scoop afterward.

I got Ani tix on Saturday. I went to the venue to avoid Ticketmaster charges. It is a beautiful old performance hall. I do hope that OTR plays a long opening set.

Also, the show on the 29th is on my Birthday Eve and I am throwing myself a party at the concert...many of my friends who have heard all of my wonderful commentary, stories from Bec and I on long road trips, and call me when they hear OTR on the radio, over the years and haven't yet seen OTR live will be in attendance! I've not ever been to Diesel, but look forward to a new experience.

Let me know if anyone else will be there.

Good for you Kathleen. Glad to hear you got a seat for the in-studio performance.

I'll be at Diesel on March 29. We'll have to remember to try and introduce ourselves.

Last night the opening set for Ani was fun. Dave said they only had 8 channels, but they sounded great nonetheless. They left Mickey at home for these couple of weeks. The setlist - probably out of order-
I Don't Want to Waste Your Time
Trouble
Jesus in New Orleans
I'm On a Roll
If a Song Could Be President
Motherless Child
Orphan Girl

It is a very cool rennovated theater connected to one of the original Carnegie Libriaries. Wooden seats, wrap around balcony, cool pipe organ. Ani was Ani- amazing guitar playing.

I just got back to work after the WYEP studio session. It was a good time. I saw a few friends that I used to work with.

They did an interview - which was ok. They WYEP folks aren't as familiar with OTR as they could be. They played Don't Want to Waste Your Time, Trouble, On a Roll, President and off air played Orphan Girl. Linford changed the setlist and On a roll was added - I must say sounded terrific!!!
Check out www.wyep.org soon for the archieve. Overall WYEP is doing a better job with the music scene in Pittsburgh and I am grateful that OTR is getting some much deserved attention!

It was good to chat with Juicy, K, L, and Jake. It is a sunny day here in Pittsburgh - which we haven't seen in awhile. A good day for the band to head to Columbus!

I am looking forward to the show on 3/29!
