Kylie got us tickets to a dirty, balmy, sweaty night at cornerstone (such a great road trip there..."C-Stone or Bust" written in white on the back windshield, laughing and trading stories, pretty little feet up on the dash), and i'd never been more moved by music. Song after song was magical.
and incendiary.
Anyway, through the years I've craved and needed community. I'm somewhat a natural introvert with extroverted tendancies but i'm one that needs community to feel balanced and, well, part of something... Watching the Apples, Listee's, Board Members, Band Members, etc through kylie has been completely eye opening as to how much of a community this really is. I've never seen anything like it... Such a common denominator, but so diverse, helpful, organic, wonderfully talented, conflicting, inviting, forgiving. If we weren't all so spread out, i'd halfway expect us to borrow a few eggs or a cup of sugar off each other from time to time.
So, here I am!
here's to you. --raising bottle--
