OMG ... don't bother!! blink.gif Shame that it will end up making more than The Golden Compass. It was such a groaner. I didn't laugh once although several folks did. What could have been a really, really good treasure hunt was nothing but crap!! Still trying to figure out how his cell phone was functional at the end.

Remember this is just my opinion.

Right now I am not really into movies they take a lot of time to sit and watch and I don't have time to sit most days when I do I am doing other things. I did enjoy the first National Treasure but was surprised that Micholas Cage even did that movie and that it did so well. I was even more surprised that he did a 2nd one - he just does not seem like a sequel sort of guy.

I haven't really liked anything he's done since "Leaving Las Vegas." The 1st "National Treasure" was more of a guilty pleasure for me I guess. I still don't care for Cage all that much but found him, and the film, okay. So, I was looking forward to more fun treasure hunting in this 2nd one. Be on the look out for #3 'cause I'm guessing that what "Book" was basically for. angrycat.gif

i can't imagine what folks who did not like this film were expecting when they walked in to see it.

it was OK. i don't need to own it, but hey, it was a relaxing way to spend a few hours.

I would not expect to laugh at this movie. It's not a comedy. It's an action/adventure like the first one...

I dunno, I imagine Nick Cage was laughing pretty hard....all the way to the freaking bank.

Saw this one today. I went in knowing how corny the first film was and knowing how lame sequels can be. So, I can't say I was disappointed. I've been watching some pretty cerebral films lately, and this was a nice change. The thing I hated the most about it was the the action sequence was practically a carbon copy from the first film.

Oh yeah, I have always abhorred Nicholas Cage. His voice is annoying and he overacts in every role (especially in Guarding - "tell her to get in the CAR!!" - Tess). I never had respect for the man. Jon Voight on the other hand... wow, that was a very cheesy role.
