let's see if we can stir up a little notice on NPR. "the trumpet child" isn't on the ballot for NPR's "best cd of 2007," so let's kick up a little dust, make a little noise and stuff the ballot box @ NPR on it's behalf.

please take a second, click HERE (NPR'S BEST CD OF 2007) and write in a vote for "the trumpet child" at the bottom of the ballot. if you've got an extra second or two, drop a note to your friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc and ask them to do the same. let's do it!

thanks much...

I voted, it surprises me that NPR left them off their list.

I wasn't totally shocked since they haven't been covered by All Songs Considered ... but I was surprised that All Songs Considered didn't play anything from The Trumpet Child.

At least the other albums on the list are all real contenders, so it's not like OtR got overlooked in favor of Justin Timberlake or something.

You know they're going to say In Rainbows is the best album of the year just because it says 'Radiohead' on it, right?

I did have to give some love to the Spree though. The Fragile Army is the best album they've done yet.

tell you friends! and if you have access on more than one computer (or maybe it's more than one ISP) you can vote multiple times. i was able to vote both at home and from all 6 computers in my office. rolleyes.gif

I just voted. Not one of my favorite albums was on that list. I could only think of three albums that came out this year that even qualified for a "favorite." When I looked back at all my favorite albums I listened to this year, most came out in 2006. 2007 was a bad year for music for me, but I didn't realize it until now! Anyway, go OTR!
