On Feb 16-17 of next year, our daughter is going to ice skate to Linford's 'She Lost Feeling In The Ends of Her Fingers' at the Ice Skating Institute competition in Nashville, TN. She screened a considerable number of instrumentals from our music library, but she was adamant that she wanted to skate to Linford's piece (which she had selected at the beginning of the screening).

Linford's music immortalized on ice, for an audience from several Southeastern states; how cool is that?

That's really cool (literally!). Good luck to your daughter. Three of my daughters figure skated for a number of years, but they never got to the point where they did their own solo. That's great! Keep us posted!

Good on her.

That sounds like a marvelous and possibly breathtaking sight.

If you video tape it or if it is videotaped... could you maybe put it up on You Tube (or other video website) so we can all see it?

Our daughter completed her ice skating competition, yesterday morning, and returned home with a first place for her Dramatic Spotlight, two second places for her Freestyle (which she skated to Linford's music) and Compulsory, and a third place for her Stroking (huh?). I have to get the video I shot transferred off the video cassette to a dvd and then I'll try to get it posted someplace where folks can see it. Thanks for your interest.

Okay, so here's the deal:

I've got the video of our daughter doing her thing at this competition on my hard drive, but it's all in one VOB file that is about 862 KB in size. I don't know where I can upload this. youtube has a 10 minute or some such size limitation on what you can put on and I know this video is longer than that.

Any suggestions?

(I know nothing about this stuff, so any ideas are welcome)

Thanks ... huh.gif
