Saw this yesterday. GREAT flick, with powerful performances by Denzel and Russel Crowe. More drama than action in most places, this movie is a bit of a slow burner that intermixes scenes of frightening power and sometimes morbid depravity. It's based on a true story, and the characters played by Washington and Crowe would both have to be called "geniuses" if they were even remotely this smart in real life.
Highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it.... any reviewers as yet?

I enjoyed it a great deal as well. I've heard some rumblings about how some facts may or may not have been presented accurately, but I've chosen not to read the articles as I don't want them to take away from my enjoyment of the film. One of the most striking moments for me, and I won't be too specific as I don't want to give things away to those who haven't watched it, was the decision made by Lucas' ball-playing brother (or cousin?--I can't remember) and what it implies about the "American Dream." On a side note, I was very excited to see the car driven by detective Romo--it was a 1966 Shelby Mustang GT350-H. It was a souped-up Mustang varient made for Hertz rent-a-car that people could rent for a weekend of fun. They only made about a thousand of them and my uncle has one of them. Of course, he's never let me drive it... Anyway, good film. Like Troy, I recommend it!

The Boy and I saw it this past week... I loved it. I thought it was very well-made... and whether it's all complete truth or not... it was interesting to have a "look" into that era. Wow.
I highly recommend it as well.
