Nice article by Linford Detweiler in this month's PASTE magazine. He talks about his roots and growing up with music and how it shaped The Trumpet Child Some of the stories are the ones he's told before (i.e. the blind piano player.... the trumpet at the revival), but some of it is stuff I'd never heard before. Plus, he talks a little bit about meeting Karin in college. Fun stuff...

I finally received this issue in the mail today and instead of reading it cover to cover, I immediately read this article which was beautifully done (of course). I would have eventually come across the photo but when I saw your mention of it, a moment ago, I had to pull it back out to see it. Very nice!

Any chance that someone could post the photos used in the article? The text is available at the Paste site, but the only picture there is one of the publicity photos I've seen before.
