SAN FRANCISCO TAKE TWO:

Mickey’s friend Robert hooked him up with acupuncture today.
It worked.
I’m not sure that Mickey was trying to fix anything, per se.
Let’s just say he’s in fine form.

Today I visited with my Aunt Nor, my father's sister who is in her early eighties -- I can barely keep up.
She’s a beautiful soul and I wish I could have had her in my life while I was growing up. I’m glad to know her now. Her siblings, my father and Auntie Elaine have passed on to the next world, God rest their souls.
I always learn so much about my family and about myself when I visit here. Aunt Nor shares her memories and thoughts with me -- not to mention a good cup of coffee and homemade applecake from the apples on her tree.

This time in San Francisco we performed two shows in the Swedish American Hall (the Café du Nord) and Aunt Nor told me that when she was a little girl, her very Swedish mother, my Grandma Anna, sent her to the SAH to further her studies in all things Swedish. And 70+ years later, here we are.
Small world.

Fabulous crowd. And so great to see more of my cousins – Auntie Elaine was represented tonight! Scott, Lanna, Danika. Love that.
