Watched this this morning. What a great Saturday morning movie that was way better than pretty good, let me tell ya.
It was visually beautiful (what's not when it comes to Ang Lee, eh?) and along with the story, absolutely sucked me in.
I think Hero was my first time seeing Tony Leung Chiu Wai and I've been crushin' ever since. He was phenomenal, every time he looked directly into the camera it was like watching his eyes and face act in place of words. Amazing.
And I'm in some serious awe that this was Wei Tang's first movie (and only movie according to IMDb). She was incredible. Everyone was.
I knew very little about what the movie was about and it was such a huge visual treat to watch these actors play out this story and have no idea what direction it would take next or how it would end up.
Not to mention sensual. Sen-Su-Al. My goodness. It's rare that a film's sex scenes give me a warm flush. *fanning self*

The scene where he asks her to take something to this dude for him... not what I expected, I think I was actually holding my breath at that.

So yeah, released on DVD last Tues, 2/19. Go rent this Cher (and all the other 428+ folks who clicked on this thread), if you haven't yet.

K, enough said... I loved Hero, in an unnatural way. This is on my list now, thanks.
