Reaching down,
Into the depths of reality
I no longer seek escape
I find peace and tranquility
You help me find the real…

I don’t yearn for flimsy fantasy
Paint for me the truth
Not intricate delicacies of iniquity
Listen, those who dare
To words of love’s great equity
The songs have sung themselves
Despite our dumb disparity
I praise those who sing along
Descrying remnants of humanity
inviting all to meet us here
To revel in soulful unity

I humbly (and rather quickly as i just recently heard of the orchard book project) wrote this thinking of the songs, lyrics and other writings of Linford and Karin. And the impact they have had on me. They seemed to always answer questions and calls from my heart. I was also thinking that the “OtR experience” should definitely go out and greet many more soul searchers like me. If it's awful, be honest, and i do apologize if it is....
i'm quite out of practice and not often critiqued, but i'm tough. ph34r.gif
So lay it on! smile.gif
thanks

Stormydawn,
I like it. I especially relate to the first eleven lines.
Your words have described several songs from Drunkard's Prayer IMO.
Very 'Orchard Book' worthy, girl.

wow, thanx, trudes!

it's always nice to get complimented when you are expecting criticism, or at least, critiquing!

what is it about the last half of it that doesn't relate to you as well?

would still appreciate advice/critiques, though as the end date is near.
