The site is absolutely GORGEOUS! I liked the old look very much; simple yet unique, but the new look is beautiful and fits you perfectly!

I haven't commented on the new site as I've been wandering around clicking here and clicking there. Soaking up the feel and looks of it. So several months after the fact I wanted to say how much I enjoy it.
I love that it's still a very dark base with little splashes of color - especially the home page with the record player, orchard, ringtone (love this one!) and coffee banners off to the side.
I also really like the look of the fade-into charcoal panels on either side. That pattern makes me think of old wallpaper from old historic hotels.
The recordings page on the old site was pry my favorite page from there, but I do like the new layout, it's very clean to my eyes. The whole design is very clean (and sleek) to me.
I think the Journal is a great, great addition. Granted I read the entries from the Tour Diary here but for folks who don't do the forum thing the Journal is extra awesome.
I think my favorite thing is the string of paper lanterns along the top for the different sections. I love how they individually glow with the mouse over each one.
When I posted about wishing for an update/overhaul of their site back in February I had no ideas of how I would have wanted it to look or function, even though Karin asked us for our thoughts. I want to just say that overall I'm very pleased and find overtherhine.com to be quite the classy-ass site.

I agree with everything Mich said. The sight is very clean and classy(ass).
I just wanted to add that they've carried the website design into the Trumpet Child Tour... not sure if you noticed from the pictures.... with the black wallpaper, and red lanterns. I love those things.
And I love(love) the 'ringtone' banner.
