I know it's early, but I would really like to get one of those primo tables right in front of the stage at Ram's Head when tickets go on sale (which will probably be soon). I know Shang is on board, who else is going??
turbovivi
Count me in.
paintedturtlegirl

It's my weekend off! Count me in too.

Yay! biggrin.gif
kab
i think i might do this one instead of birchmere. smile.gif
keith, don't know if you're planning on going solo or not, but the aforementioned folks plus me and s makes up one whole table... rolleyes.gif
keith from ny
Chris is coming down with me, so it looks like we'll need one and a half tables unless we can recruit two more. If anyone hears about tickets going on sale, please yell!
shang
Heads up peoples.....

Tickets are on sale as of this morning. Nearly every table has seats available. Doesn't get better than this. Looking forward to seeing some apples.

Cheers.
keith from ny
OK, I've got 4 seats at table 100! Eric, did you buy your own?

Indeed, two tickets for the wife and I. Also at table 100. Looks like an apple affair.

Excellent! smile.gif

Okay ladies, I've got two extras at Table 100 -- I don't know if y'all are planning to bring dates, but speak up if you want 'em and lets grab what else we need fast!
kab
keith, i just pm'd you, but i'd love the 2 tickets! smile.gif
keith from ny
OK, looks like Kelly & companion are sitting with us at table 100! smile.gif

Viv and Carolyn, I suggest you grab tix soon if you haven't already.

Ah, just read this...have been traveling and was in fact up for 32 hrs straight yesterday between working and airports/layovers. Thought when I replied earlier I was saying to count me in/save a ticket and I'd reimburse. I guess I misunderstood. I need to find a ticket at a new table at this point, right, or are there any other apples there with seats open at a table?

Sorry Carolyn -- there was only one table up front that had more than 2 seats open when I looked, and I wasn't sure who would be bringing others and how many seats we'd all need, and I figured whoever wouldn't fit at this table could grab seats at another one nearby. Don't know what's available now, or if Viv is still planning to come.

looking forward to seeing folks this saturday. smile.gif

There was a bit of confusion so it turned out that I don't have my ticket sad.gif

But I'll be going to the one in Birchmere.

Me too! smile.gif Eric and I saw Cowboy Junkies in Harrisburg Friday night and we talked about maybe going back to Tsunami before the show since it was so good last time, but the show starts early (7:00) so I think Chris and I will just show up at Ram's Head around 5:00 and grab some dinner there. I'm planning to record the show if I actually manage to bring all the necessary gear this time.

Carolyn, you still planning on coming for this shindig? There are still tickets available for anyone who wants to go. Real sorry you won't be able to make it, Viv! sad.gif

Hey Keith (and apples)....

We'll look for you in Ram's Head after 5:00. Not sure when we will be arriving. As mentioned, I think we may try to visit the Baltimore aquarium earlier in the day.

Looking forward to it.

kab
we are planning on spending part of the day enjoying annapolis.

keith, i might just meet you there around 5 and eat with you, if that's ok. wink.gif

i'm interested to find out why shang was at my alma mater, as he let me know on my myspace page... (though i will probably have to refresh his memory as to who i am!) laugh.gif

thanks for the good wishes, bill! we did have a great time -- the band was really "on" last night and it was fun to have an apple-filled table. karin surprised linford with a birthday cake on stage (a day early; said it was the only way to surprise him) and then remembered giving YOU (bill) a cake for your 100th show there... i thought it was a great shout-out even though you weren't there. smile.gif

keith taped the show, and i don't remember the setlist, though i was really thrilled with the inclusion of "go down easy" and "suitcase."

everyone who couldn't be there (bill, viv, jim, carolyn, michelle) were definitely missed.

Eric and Nelson pretty much nailed the set list, just a couple of songs out of order:

I Don't Wanna Waste Your Time
I Radio Heaven
Go Down Easy
Anything At All
I'm On a Roll
Let's Spend the Day In Bed
Entertaining Thoughts
Suitcase
Who'm I Kiddin' But Me
band and crew intros
Trouble
We're Gonna Pull Through
North Pole Man
Goodbye Charles
Ohio
Orphan Girl
<encore>
Hush Now
Happy Birthday to Linford! smile.gif
If a Song Could Be President
Don't Wait For Tom

And what a great set list, I was in shock by the 4th song! The only slight disappointment was the absence of The Trumpet Child, which both Karin and Linford have been doing astonishing things with lately.

Chris and I had a fantastic day -- drove through a constant downpour all the way through New Jersey yesterday morning, but the sun came out shortly after we hit the DelMarVa peninsula, and it was a warm and glorious afternoon by the time we got to Annapolis. We enjoyed a couple of hours walking around town where we fortuitously encountered the band outside their hotel ("Wow, I can't believe you guys are in Annapolis -- we're actually playing here tonight!" Mickey quipped). We strolled down Main Street and picked out a nice bottle of Barolo and a hand-rolled cigar to give Linford for his birthday, and then stoked up a couple ourselves down by the harbor and enjoyed the water views for a spell. At 5:00 we met Kelly and her boyfriend Shannon for a very congenial dinner at Ram's Head Restaurant and then headed into the venue next door, where we had great seats right in front of the stage and were soon joined by Eric and his wife Lisa. I was happy to meet Nelson, who came over and introduced himself to me -- I had mistaken him for a Ram's Head employee before the show! Sharon and Emmy (sporting an attractive cast on her arm) were also there, and it was great as always to see them. I got my recording gear set up next to the sound booth and set my levels and then sat down up front to enjoy a great show, which included a birthday cake for Linford during the encore! I hope to have the recording available within a few days, there's quite a bit of crowd noise but otherwise it sounds pretty good.

Really good show, but the sound is a little muddy and constrained due to the mics being set up in an alcove next to the board, and there's also quite a bit of audience noise. Next time I'm gonna get a seat next to one of those columns closer to the stage!
