For those of you going to Cornerstone Festival this year (like me!)

QUOTE
THIS JUST IN--the 2007 event features: pork BBQ!

It's a good thing we have much, much more than superstition going for us—2007 marks the thirteenth annual get-together for lunch & conversation at the summer's
most important music festival.

Here are the particulars:
Wednesday, June 27, 11 a.m. 1 p.m.
Press Tent/Talking Stage (We've moved to the Midway!)
Cornerstone Festival ( <http://www.cornerstonefestival.com/>www.cornerstonefestival.com )
RSVP: <mailto:rmc.bbq@gmail.com>rmc. bbq@gmail.com

Yep, that face-to-face gathering of online music fans is back. It's still a great opportunity for you to socialize with a whole lot of other like-minded folks from
throughout the States, Canada, and the rest of the world in a nice, shady spot over lunch. Celebrities & free stuff & running jokes abound.

Although originally designed as a place for usenet newsgroup rec.music.christian (R.M.C.) regulars to meet face-to-face, participation has grown to include many
like-minded email lists which have kept the free-wheeling spirit of R.M.C. alive in these changing technological times. (We'll change the name when no one can
remember what R.M.C. stands for any more. . .we're getting close. . .)

We send this to all the cool music lists we can find: Over the Rhine's forum, DADL, OOG, Lost Dogs, 77s, VOL, the Christian Music List, Phil Keaggy, and
several other lists.

It all takes place in the Press Tent, which this time, will be in the heart of the Midway between the grocery store and merch tents. (Remember to
check out the rest of the programming; panel discussions, press conferences, and now, in the evening, the Talking Stage!)

Menu: Thanks to the incredible culinary talents of Julie D. WE ARE HAVING BBQ SANDWICHES plus, chips, sodas, bottled water, and cake for dessert (If you have a VERY special event you would like memorialized in frosting, let us know!). Donations are very welcome to cover the cost, and don't forget to bring something for the literature/tape/CD exchange. In the spirit of the original hippies and Jesus people, this is your chance to exchange your unwanted books, music magazines, CD's, music T-shirts, etc. for someone else's, no charge.

As always, we'll have name tags, perhaps some awards, maybe some celebrities, and we definitely hope to have you and many, many other members of the Christian music on line community.

Send an email message to <mailto:rmc.bbq@gmail.com>rmc. bbq@gmail.com if you plan to attend. Include your name, email address, number in your party, where you are traveling from, and how you heard about the RMC, etc. BBQ/Picnic. We'll send out updates regularly.

C U soon,

Why do I always find out about these things 2 days "AFTER" I get back from the festival?
