In the episode from a week ago Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb ( the version w/ Van Morrison, the Band & Roger Waters live at the Berlin Wall) played a prominent role. Tony wakes up, comes downstairs singing it to himself ...then later Christopher & Tony are driving along and Chris pulls the CD out, makes reference to the fact that it was used in the film The Departed and pops it into the car CD player. I don't know that I've ever seen a *soundtrack within a soundtrack* for lack of a better term. And what a terrific version of that song.

that show has probably used music and it's soundtrack to set the tone for itself and it's plots/happenings better than any show in the history of TV. from the opening credits on, "woke up this morning..."
