Over The Rhine w/ Jamie Barnes
Friday June 22nd, 2007 @ 8pm All ages. Tickets: $15 ON SALE DATE TBA…

The 930 Listening Room is proud to present Cincinnati natives and Americana/folk veterans Over The Rhine for an all ages, smoke-free show. Louisville singer-songwriter Jamie Barnes opens.

“Over the Rhine seeps into you with a rich hunger—each note a separate, glimmering cloud-diamond. Hearing vocalist/guitarist Karin Bergquist and pianist Linford Detweiler perform for the first time will stay with you long after the music ends.”

Recommended if you like: Cowboy Junkies, Gillian Welch, stellar musicianship and an angelic voice.

“Barnes’ warm, softly yearning voice is instantly calming, an instrument in its own right that suggests lazy hours on a porch during a warm spring evening.” - All Music Guide

Recommended if you like: Iron & Wine, Nick Drake, Elliott Smith, Will Oldham

depending who all is interested, time, etc., we might could do a "bring your own meat" cook-out kind of thing @ my place. i'm only about 10 minutes from the venue.

worth talking about?
stivmc
Well we won't be able to hit the road until close to 6....so I'm not sure if that would work for us

the show starts @ 8:00, so i'm guessing the doors open @ 7:00ish, so i'm assuming a 6-6:15ish get in line time so i'm thinking dinner should prob be around 5:00 or so, if we want to do it here, maybe 4:30 or so. just thinkin' out loud...

Alright...well we got some time..there might be some give in my schedule...i'm not sure sure yet...
