Greetings... I am new to the forum, but certainly not new to OtR. A friend gave me Till We Have Faces ON CASSETTE and I was hooked. That was 1992 or 1993. I happened to be attending the same college that L&K attended (Malone) and was thrilled to hear that they would be playing at Froggy's Cafe. That was one of their best shows that I have seen. About 20 people in the room, singing along, candles aglow... oh yeah smile.gif That started a love affair smile.gif My hubby and I have been to over 100 OtR shows and hope to see even more! We've been to Indiana, Illinois (Cornerstone, of course) and all over Ohio. We are hooked smile.gif We have 6 children under 12 and they have been to their share of shows. 'Taint nuthin' sweeter than a three-year-old running around the house belting out 'Darlin' darlin' Christmas is coming!" I would love to see them with the Cowboy Junkies again. About 3 years before that tour, I was thinking that that would be a beautiful marriage, and it was. (Hence the trip to Indiana smile.gif
When I was 18 I thought 'Seriously, people in their 30's go to concerts?" Ahh, here I am in my 30's answering my own question.
Thank you, L&K for pourin out your hearts. You are loved.

welcome Amanda. We are glad you decided to join us. I must concur on the benefits of exposing your children to quality music early. My son (almost 5) still calls them over the ryan and asks to listen to them all the time.

I thought that very same thought well before that tour as well, and I was lucky enough to catch it at the Taft in Cincinnati in 1998.

Welcome to our playhouse!

Welcome aboard, Amanda! It's great to see long-time fans here, I only found out about Over the Rhine in 2003 myself. All those years in darkness...

I'm 53 and I went to forty or so concerts last year (it's easier when the kids are grown), a number of them by OtR. Hope to meet you next time I'm in Ohio!
