(Sorry folks. It's been a couple of days since I've had the time or the internet connection to do this.)
Tour Diary April 20th, 2007 Annapolis
Finally. We made up our cancelled shows from the Christmas tour. Thanks to all of you who helped sell out the shows in Vienna, Virginia and Annapolis, Maryland.
Last night in Annapolis one of our favorite people celebrated his 100th show with us. Yes, that’s what I said. One hundredth show.
We embarrassed him, dragged him up onto the stage and presented him with some celebratory Tiramisu.
Robbie Robertson once said of the touring musician “It’s a Goddamn impossible way of life.”
But it’s people like Bill Ivester who make it more bearable, and then some.
And we’re finding out he knows how to throw a baseball. The boys have taken to playing a little catch here and there and Bill’s got a pretty darn good throwing arm. If we run into you on a parking lot somewhere, don’t be surprised. And bring yer glove.
Vivian, Keith and his son, and Michelle (from Hawaii!) all came to share the love. Thanks for the gorgeous flowers and Keith thanks for the wine. You all are too good. Travel safe – see you in New York.
We’ve only 90 miles to the big city. See you there.
Big love
Karin
