I couldn't believe this one...

A month or so ago, I picked up Leonard Cohen's latest book, Book of Longing at Books a Million, and I've been reading a poem a day (which is how I typically read poetry). This morning, I open it to read the next one, and discover that there's a page missing. Not only that, after scanning through the book, I found another page that was missing. Wonder how many I didn't see? Now, bear in mind that these pages weren't just missing. They had been ripped out.

So, I stop by BAM on my way home from work and the person working the register was surprised to hear this, as well as the manager that came up front to help me out. As luck would have it, they actually had a copy on the shelf, so I got to take a new one home with me.

As you've probably guessed, when I got home, I went through it to see if any pages were missing, but they were all there.

People never cease to amaze me!

Same thing happens to me, only with the Yellow Pages in hotel rooms in strange cities... unsure.gif
