I'm baaaaaack.
And what an excellent show it was.
I went with my neice and we sat along the wall on the bench. The edge of the bench was equivilent to almost front row....perfect seat.
It was just Karin and Linford. (They said the band will join them for the Boulder show Wednesday) I'm really psyched for that one too.
The setlist was excellent. I'll leave the order of songs for David (Historyprof) to post as he nabbed Karin's setlist sheet and my memory is non-existent.
BTW, meeting David was a joy. What a great fan and really nice guy. Dawn...I wish I could have found you. Maybe Boulder? The crowd was really big. The room was packed.
I will say the track selection of really old stuff, really new stuff as well as my personal favorites made it an evening of Silver and Gold.
From 1991 And Can it Be. I near died when I heard this. I wanted to cry. I LOVE this song.
From 1992 Jacksie. What a treat. I want to watch Serpents and Gloves again, now.
From 1996 Latter Days. Still my all time favorite...it was the hook. And Etc Whatever. So beautiful.
From 2003 Ohio. A total crowd pleaser.
From The (brand new) Trumpet Child. I Don't Wanna Waste Your Time, Trouble, Nothing is Innocent, Entertaining Thoughts, The Trumpet Child, Lets Spend the Day in Bed, If a Song Could be President...All were done beautifully.
In addition, Only God can Save us Now...very touching for me as Karin talked about her appreciation for the nurses at her Mom's nursing home and for nurses in general and mentioned that this song would have special meaning for me.
Thank you Karin....your mom is so lucky to have a beautiful caring daughter and son-in-law who are so loving and supportive.
We talked after the show and I introduced my neice who is now a genuine fan.
All in all a geat show in a nice venue and appreciative crowd.
I will be up front for the Boulder show Wednesday fer sher.
Here's a photo I took with may camera phone:

and here's an article my sister cut out of the Albuquerque paper before the show.
