I managed to find Besides at a local secondhand store. However, as a OTR newbie, I wasn't a big fan so I thought I might sell it on eBay and get another OTR album. From what I've heard though, the Besides album is a bit of a rarity. Is this true? If so, how much do you reckon it would fetch on eBay?

brand new copies of "besides" are still readily available from the band @ overtherhine.com & at shows for $15.00. it's a very nice, fun record. keep it and enjoy it. it's probably not going to "fetch" much with new copies still out there at that price.

I honestly have to say I haven't picked up Besides yet, and from the few tracks I have (free Mp3s from the site) it's not my top OtR. However, I'd agree w/ bivester that you should definitely hold onto it, and get Ohio or Drunkard's Prayer ... trust me, once you fall in love, you'll want to come back to Besides
