Hello Everyone My Name is Dave. I have now seen OTR 4 times in concert Friday Night @ Canal Street was my 4th. If anyoen remembers the Friday night show from Nov. 06 @ Canal Street, I was the guy who kept laughing when Karin would say "kinky" it just strucks me as unusal and quite hillarious. I am good friends with Kevin ( Askewphotogtraphy ) and he has told me several times I should join this board.

(FAIR WARNING: I am often guilty of the oddest of typos so bear with me lol)

My Music taste is scattered as I listen to Showtunes, Techno, Folk, Punk, Ska, Metal,80's etc.

My All time favorite musician is Billy Joel. I have well over 20 of his CD's. OTR is becomming a close second.

I'll also establish this right off the bat. As Evidenced by my Avitar I am a die-hard comic-book fanboy. I spend a crazy amount of money per month on comics. My Favorite is, and likely will allways be, Spider-Man. I read more Marvel than I do DC but that varries from month to month.

My taste in movies is just as eclectic as my tastes in music. I love comedy, Sci-Fi, action, horror, Musicals, etc.

My favorite movie of all time is probably Tommy Boy as I can nearly quote the entire movie, verbatum, while watching it.

I met a few of you @ Brixx before the show, and got to speak with several of you while waiting in line and durring set breaks. You all were verry friendly and made me feel welcome.

I suppose I should wrap this up. Hope to see you all real soon.

-Dave-

Welcome to the Orchard Dave! I was once a comic book guy myself...that is until our little Paige came along and comic book reading/buying took a back seat.

Glad to have you here, Dave! I used to be a huge comic book buff, and now I really wish I hadn't given away those early Lee/Ditko issues of Spider-Man when I was teenager.

Books are good. My favorite author is Douglas Adams (writer of the Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy and the Dirk Gentley series)

I read a LOT of Sci-Fi and up until the more recent Star Wars books (Vector Prime and anything beyond that) I had read all of the Expanded Universe books.

Fantasy books I've read a Large chunk of Tolkien, CS Lewis, and iother lesser know authors...

And Anything written by Scott Adams has earned a plce on my bookshelf.

Welcome welcome! I have a stash of comic books lurking around here and there too. Grab a cup of OTR coffe and sit back and enjoy the ride. Nice journey!

Not Sure. A large portion of the EU was really good. I remember being in complete suspense while I read the "Heir to the Empire" trilogy by Timothy Zahn.

Great name Dave! smile.gif Btw, speaking of Marvel, have you read The Inhumans? That's a really great comic/graphic novel that's worth checking out. When I do read comics, I'm more into Marvel as well, though Batman and the Vertigo-line still draw me to DC.

Welcome to the Orchard!

Inhumans was an awesome read. Before reading it i always veiwed Blackbolt and his crew as "those guys who sometimes hang with the FF". Afterwards? Wow. Marvel has my attention right now as far as comics go with Civil War and the Initiative and the Spidey event "Back in Black".
