This is one of my most requested recipes and upon discovering this portion of the site I feel inclined to share it. This can be served over either cooked bowtie noodles or rice.
2lbs round steak
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
(pepper to taste... no real measurement used)
1 tsp minced garlic (you can find jars of this in the produce section of most grocery stores)
3 Tbsp butter
1 small onion, chopped
1 Tbsp soy sauce
2 beef bullion cubes (I use Knorr)
1 can Cream of Mushroom soup
1 cup water
1 8oz container of sour cream
Cut steak in 1x1/2 inch strips. Mix flour, pepper, salt, and garlic. Add to crock pot with remaining ingredients EXCEPT THE SOUR CREAM!
Cook on low for 5 hours. Stir occasionally.
Last half hour add the sour cream BUT DO NOT STIR!!! Stir to combine just before serving.
