A big Hello to ya'all from the big state of South Dakota, or something like that! Anyway, great to finally be a part of this. I read on here all the time and finally thought it was time to join in. I live in the small town of Custer, SD! It's small, but it's home for now. Looking at moving back to Minneapolis! We'll see.
I've been an OTR fan for quit some time now, they're about all have I listened to during many of the stages and crazy times that life has thrown at me. They are my calming grace a lot of time. I have had only the opportunity to see them once in concert, because I live in SD. But, I drove to Chicago last Dec. to see them along with some dear friends of mine.
I love music. Besides OTR, I listen to Sufjan Stevens, Glen Phillips, David Wilcox, Aimee Mann, Hem, U2, a little Bjork now and then, and quit a bit of classical and whatever else happens to pop up on my ipod. I was a music history/theory major for a while at UMN.
I love movies. The teach me a lot about life. I know I drive some of my friends crazy with how I analyze everything and apply it to my life. It's just what I do. Magnolia and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind are two of my favorites!
I'm learning to love "This American Life." I love to sit around with friends and a glass of wine and talk about life.
I'm terrible at grammer and I'm sure that many of you will find many things to laugh at with my mistakes. But know that I'll be laughing with you!
That's about all for now. But, looking forward to getting to know some of you.

Hi Nate. Maybe you can settle something for me. A friend of mine wants to visit all 50 states and has 48 under their belt. They HAVE been to SD, but can't seem to find a reason to visit NORTH Dakota. Any ideas?

Anyway, I digress.

Well, the funny thing is, I've only been to ND a couple times, usually driving through or picking up the train. But, in their defense, the ND Badlands are beautiful in the western part of ND.
