Really great show. One of my favorites now that Lost is on mid-season break.

Do you think all these "mid season breaks" are a ploy by the networks to drive up DVD rentals?

Maybe. But I think a lot of time its more because they have to film more episodes.
Especially for new shows.. if they filmed the whole season before it aired, and it was a total flop.. they wasted a ton of money. This way they can film part of the season, and if it wasn't a success can just pull the show without losing any more money.
But in Lost's case I think they just need to film more episodes.

I had a fellow musician who actually wanted to END PRACTICE EARLY to watch this show...so of course I had to check it out (since we weren't practicing that night). It was great. I was hooked and went back online and watched all the past episodes.
You can see those
here if you don't mind the french subtitles...

9:00 PM 1.0 HEROES
GODSEND
FOLLOWING PAINFUL REVELATIONS AND SHOCKING CHANGES, MANY "HEROES" STRUGGLE TO MOVE FORWARD AS A NEW HERO (GUEST STAR CHRISTOPHER ECCLESTON) IS REVEALED -- Picking up two weeks after recent events, Nathans (Adrian Pasdar) determination to save a comatose Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) forces him to turn to Simone (Tawny Cypress) for help. Isaacs (Santiago Cabrera) puzzling "Hiro vs. T-Rex" painting inspires Hiro (Masi Oka) and Ando (guest star James Kyson Lee) to search for the pictured samurai sword. Jessica (Ali Larter) struggles against Nikis decision to turn herself into police. With his associate Eden dead and Matt (Greg Grunberg) on his heels, H.R.G. (Jack Coleman) tries to focus on his orders regarding Sylar (guest star Zachary Quinto). After being offered a choice by the Haitian (guest star Jimmy Jean-Louis), Claire (Hayden Panettiere) struggles with changes her decision has wrought. Taking up his fathers quest, Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy) attempts to share information about who is "on the list" of people with special abilities and the threats to their lives. Meanwhile, a new hero (guest star Christopher Eccleston) makes a shocking debut. Leonard Roberts and Noah Gray-Cabey also star. Thomas Dekker, Clea DuVall, Lisa Lackey and Cristine Rose guest star.
I can't wait

Just started watching this (yay bittorrent!), so I have something to do until Lost starts again...interesting, although I'm hoping it becomes a little more organized after all these characters begin interacting.
It's amusing to see Eric Weis from Alias playing...a cop. Yeah, I'm sure that was a stretch.

No one watched the season 2 premiere?
Yay for former Alias cast members! Now bring back the hot british blonde chick, will ya?
It's funny that the actress who plays Claire is the biggest celebrity of the show and on the cover of Entertainment Weekly and all that, and yet I think she's going to be a minor character at best for most of this season. They'll keep reminding viewers that she's still in the show, but I think the other characters' stories are going to be a lot more interesting than a retread of the Claire/Zach subplot from Season 1. Plus, since most of the plot of Season 1 revolved around her and her fate, and that part was fairly soundly resolved at the end, I imagine she'll have a reduced role this season.
The rest of it was great, though. Should be a good season..or at least something to watch till Lost starts.

Hmmm, this season has kind of sucked so far but tonight's episode seems to be back on track. At least we'll get a few good episodes before the writers strike kills it.

The season "finale" was pretty good, however I'm disappointed that Nikki and Nathan are dead. Wish they would have killed off Mohinder and Molly instead.
And man, on one of his closeups, I noticed that Sylar has a serious
openbite. No sandwiches for him!

http://www.tvguide.com/news/heroes-generat...inale/071204-01According to that interview with Tim Kring, the futures of Nathan and Niki are "up in the air." I have a feeling Heroes may be a lot like Lost or 24 in that no character is dead unless we explicitly see them die.
