sort of. at first they said "no taping" on this tour. they are playing a lot of the new music this time out but still want some surprise and buzz about the new songs when the record is released. which is understandable and i think, fair.lately they have let a few tapers that they know tape a couple of shows w/the understanding that the boots don't get circulated until they ok it (after the release of "the trumpet child" this spring). since they have always been so taper and fan friendly, i think their wishes should be respected. i think anything taped and especially circulated without their permission should be frowned upon.

The only place I've seen the "no taping" thing actually posted is here in the Orchard, so I can imagine that anyone who doesn't read here regularly wouldn't know that, especially if they've recorded the band in the past. (Not that I'm condoning it, but I can understand it.)
