after years of not being a tv watcher, i am now a person with a viewing schedule.

i'm excited to see grey's anatomy, csi: lv, ghost whisperer, and deal of no deal back.

i'm hate that ga and csi are competing for the thursday night time-slot. i loved starting my week off with the docs of seattle grace.

this season, the only shows that have piqued my "let me check that out" interest is "heroes" and studio 60. interested to see what they do with these.

i am taking the liberty of posting a comment trudes made about the current season below. hope she doesn't mind.

peace,
zayne

Until these beloved children of mine have normal sleeping hours, I'm all about watching this season NEXT season on Netflix. smile.gif

We're currently watching Lost Season II and loving every minute of it. Even if there IS no overall character arc, we still love it.

Ah, have not watched any of the shows mentioned here, although I have heard of 2 of them. Have no idea what Neflix is; is it pay per view TV, kind of like pay per view movies?

c'mon, help out a nerd and explain what Netflix is....make yourself feel good and consider it community service. I am such a nerd that I've never heard of Netflix.

ha~!

Netflix is a subscription movie rental service. I subscribed for a year or so (maybe less), and for $11 or so per month, you could rent as many movies as you wanted, 3 movies at a time. Netflix would mail you the movies (on DVD), you'd watch 'em and then mail 'em back (postage-paid!) as soon as you were finished -- at which time, the next movies in your "queue" would be mailed to you.

I think now you can get 1-at-a-time service for a lower fee.

Hope this helps!

I'll be the 1st to say Brothers and Sisters wasn't very entertaining and I ended up cringing everytime Calista Flockhart's lips overtook my HDTV screen, but I will still continue to watch. Rachel Griffiths has always been one of favorite actresses since HilaryandJackie and SFU. Rachel and Sally are aging gracefully unlike Flockhart. Yikes.

Ike,
I gotta disagree with you here; I watched it and really liked it.
The pilot really set the stage for lots of storylines.
I like Rachael Griffiths too, and Sally Field and, yes, Calista.
I will be watching again. This is one of those shows that would have been better on a premium channel...networks unfortunately limit being real....but I'll deal with it.

Heroes - Thumbs down. These new shows are trying way too hard to be serious and relevant that it makes it seriously boring. Every serious show needs some comic relief once in a while. real life itself is always somewhat comical.

I am actually somewhat glad that alot of these highly anticipated shows are duds. I have no excuse to stay in and be a couch fatty.

Re: Brothers and Sisters:
I forgot to mention, a K T Tunstall's track was background on the show...I think it was Under the Weather.

OK, i was too quick to judge Heroes. I watched the 1st 30 minutes of it last night and quit.
Well I watched the 2nd half today and I am gonna give it a try next week as well.

Still really LOVING Brothers and Sisters. And, more KT music.

Newest favorite...DEXTER on SHO. WOW. Great new show. Very different, creepy and enticing. Michael C Hall is excellent.

I don't have Showtime, but I'm reading the first Dexter book, Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay. So far it's good, but creepy. From what I've read about the series so far, it seems to be following the book pretty closely.

I caught Heroes the other night and was reasonably hooked, even after missing the previous episode AND the first twenty minutes of THIS episode. Still extremely interesting.

yeah i'm liking it so far -- a good change from all the doctor/lawyer/police shows (not to disrespect my grey's anatomy).

only issue so far is with the cheerleader---

unless times have changed since i was in school, cheerleaders do not wear their uniforms ALL THE TIME...only for games or spirit day...NOT as a school uniform -- AND not for practice. please someone find her some jeans and a t-shirt.

AND: the professor's son is hottie --

just saying...

peace,
zayne - wondering if the skinny short hair chick is a good chick or a bad chick...
