Ooh, that's such happy news, Becky! Please, tell us more!
Thanks for your concern, guys. It's really heartwarming.

New happy thought: I had six hours of extraordinarily refreshing sleep last night. I could get used to this!

And that's mine on the left.
And Becky, how often do you go digging through my files anyway?
FloridaGirl
Dec 6 2004, 05:21 PM
Only when you tell me where a specific file is that isn't linked to from your site (i.e., "Yeah, I had the picture on my journal, but not linked to so you couldn't find it").

Besides, it's not like you've never gone through my files ... and made changes to certain image files and code without my permission.

I'm still working on it. Maybe I'll come up with one by the end of the Taft weekend.
Favorite thing: being able to keep on with my antidepressant right up until my surgery. No anticoagulant (or coagulant) properties to make me bleed out on the table or get a blood clot during bed rest. Hooray!

Ooh! Pretty guitar! Very happy!

Happy things:
being jolted out of my "life's demandingness is too overwhelming, so I'll just throw money at it and hope it goes away" phase, and thus returned to quasi-sanity
my Superman T-shirt
cooking without the microwave for the first time in aaaaaages. (There's only so much Lean Cuisine one can stomach.)
not killing my pain-in-the-ass driving instructor
not having the chain-smoking hustler driving instructor tonight
rediscovering lost items
doing laundry -- ooh!
singing
being told I sing well
the neighbor's piano practice
further headway on this pesky card-list-mailing-thing
stripping at work today

having the large steel bar which keeps the rear end of my car aligned break in half today. then discovering that a machine shop was only two blocks away. watching 4 guys dedicate themselves whole-heartedly to welding it back together and remounting it on my car. having it take only about an hour. getting charged only $20.
they're getting tips.

It's not too early to pack... which reminds me that it's rather DIFFICULT to pack when one hasn't done laundry in nearly a month. I'll, um, go do that now.
Happy thing: updating (even though I didn't really feel like it). Discipline will do good things for me yet.

All my favorite things I'm looking forward to this weekend at the Taft:
Incredible people.
Hugs. Lots of them.
Delicious music.
Long Island Ice Teas (or Margaritas...haven't decided yet)
Really smooth cigarettes smoked inside at a bar (I've been in California too long).
Late night laughter.
Old friends. New Friends. Red friends. Blue Friends.
And then when I get back:
Lots of naps.
