he taught me that too. when i see it now, i laugh so hard i cry.

Egg nog, new sign language teachers, free baby carrots, helpful TAs, and discovering that the article I reallyreally wanted to use but couldn't access through any local university was available, for free, directly from the publication's website. My printer will be out of ink by Monday, but I HAVE THE ARTICLE! And I don't have to return to the library! Except for that whole distraction-free studying thing. (Dang, my printer takes
ages with .pdf files.) Oh, and two separate people at the studio thought I'd been studying baladi for far longer than I have, on the basis of my impressive (to them) dancing. I know I need one hell of a lot of work before I'm ready to dance solo (or even in troupe shows -- ugh to Sunday's), but it's nice to hear such things.

Hmm, interesting. I just got that song out of my head. Theese hispanic students where playing a cd of it, and singing along with it while we were waiting for the bird to finish baking.
I told them about this Russian version I have on mp3. It's great.

Telephone banking. Namely, the ability to pay bills ontime via telephone banking, even when I've lost the paper versions and only found them the day before the utility company in question expects money. I'm in love.

Well, so much for self-restraint. I was just at the local mall to get some holiday shopping done, and as if by magic I was mysteriously drawn into the overpriced fye record store, specifically the "M" section under Rock/Pop. There, sitting sadly by its lonesome as the sole resident of the Mazzy Star section was So Tonight That I Might See. So of course, what could I do but plunk down the $15.99 retail + tax and give it a warm home where it will be loved and appreciated?
I'm so pathetic.

Well, if your version of Hell is dante's version of Hell, then you will agree that there are parts of Hell that are indeed frozen over. So maybe I have a chance with that girl too.
(Lit geeks trying to justify asking a girl out by using Dante, I love it).
