Word to this. There are a couple of guys whose girlfriends and I get along really well, so going out with them as couples is great. But other times it's like, "Good, now that the skank-ho is gone ..."
And then I feel bad.

Is it bad that the guitar player's current singledom is one of my favorite things?
DJDelicious

yeah, and even if i do get along with the girlfriends, it's like when they start dating---the girlfriend hands you this no-access pass. it's that whole territorial crap. so it's nice to be able to rip the pass into pieces.

Speaking of your honey, he rocks. I'm not the most social of butterflies and don't get out and about here much and he was totally mellow, easy to talk to and smiles/laughs a lot. Only one other listee/apple has been on my turf before, it was a genuine treat to hang out w/ the postymcp. I only wish I had the tour guide genius/whimsy to equal Bruce's - can't wait to see both of you here next time.

My toshiba power cord is dead dead dead, so I emailed the students at my school with a plea for help...and I have already received 15 e-mails from students willing to trade off nights of laptop-charging, an actual cord from a guy who said I could use it for the whole semester, and just now a phone call from a girl who's laptop is dead but has a viable power cord...

I left a message on her answering machine. She seemed somehow compelled to call back. Oh, and I now have two tickets reserved for her sitar concert/Indian dinner next month. Gotta love it when artists still handle their own ticket sales....

I didn't drown this morning. This is good.
Work didn't suck, at either place.
It's not yet too cold to walk from a more distant metro stop. (Come winter, I'll be debarking at the nearest stop, and likely waiting for the bus to drop me off at my front door. I must relish decent weather while I can.)
