Having John Kerry and John Edwards in my city at the same time, and getting to hear them speak.

Hearing my favorite local band play for the second time in two nights, and knowing that they will probably get major local media coverage for playing at the Kerry rally.

One of the freshmen girls next door was at last night's convention, and we got into a great conversation today about politics and the country in general. And then she mentioned The Daily Show, and said she has no television, so I promised to invite her over whenever we watch it. She just left about a half hour ago, and she brought us some spiffy green tea. I love making new friends!

Seeing a bus driver wait the extra three seconds at a green light for a girl who had been sprinting for the last block to catch up. That totally made my day.
Also, watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on my friend's pocket PC. Sweet!

Having a poem come to me out of the blue when I had no idea what I was going to write for my poetry group this coming Monday.
Well, ok, I had a little help from This American Life. Every poet is a theif.
