Pictures! Cinnamon buns! Extra shift time at work (I need the money). Showing people pictures! Laughing at pictures! Reorganizing pictures again and again and again! Pictures of me! Pictures of me in a pretty pretty dress! Pictures of me blowing bubbles! Pictures of me singing! Pictures of me dancing! Pictures of me with adorable kids! Finding ice packs in the freezer is lovely, too. Hmmm. Relief.

When near-strangers I met a week ago approach me and ask, "Hey, did you find that cat?"
And when familiar cats come out of bushes and approach me with a stare that clearly says, "Hey! You're the food lady, right?"

One that I've fed a few times actually sought me out near the English building today. I felt so guilty about disappointing him that I went back to my room and brought him some tuna. As usual, he was very hungry and very excited.

Lovely hosts.
Brunch with a long-lost friend -- who even foots the bill.
Discovering that the metro pass I paid $6 for (my supervisor is going on a monthlong vacation tomorrow) is not just a metro pass. It's a zone five tramway transit pass, which is the next best thing to having wings in the vicinity of Montreal. Those babies are expensive! I can use the trains, the trams, the buses, and the subway on the island, Laval, AND Longeuil for the rest of September!!! YEAH BABY!!!

well, i wouldn't say simultaneously. right now, i'm living in canada. though, i do have ties and (i guess you could say) homes in the other two areas.

Oregon: I lived there for about 9 months, working on the coast (right on the pacific ocean) my best friends' family lives there, and they adopted me. i consider them my own family.
Washington: I'm originally from there, though I've not lived there for quite some time. My family still lives there, so it is still very much so home.
Canada: I attend a Bible College in Alberta. This feels a lot like my home, seeming as all my stuff is here.
