I just started reading this thread from the beginning, and got as far as frannyglass' list on page 3.
"-buying crazy stuff at the dollar store to send in care packages to my sister"

This made my afternoon. My sister and I do this every couple months. I just sent off a package full of Dollar Tree finds, organic dark chocolate, some Strawberry Shortcake socks found on clearance, a packet of flower seeds, a lightswitch cover, and a collection of free product samples. Sending and receiving these are both great pleasures.

Stopping a miniature panicky breakdown within a minute of its onset (or a minute of NOTICING its onset, anyway). Wow... I'd forgotten how cool relative stability could be. Sweet.

My coffee coconut brownies worked! Well, sort of. I didn't cook them long enough, so you might have to eat them with a spoon. But they taste delicious!
