my roommates don't even like to eat them cold. Once we got into eating them fresh out of the oven, we only make 6 at a time and share. Mmmmm weekend breakfasts.

You can imagine my delight when my parents' most recent grocery drop included a package of yummylicious muffin mix. Now I just need to buy a tin....
Current happy thing: vanilla frozen yogurt.

Frozen yogurt... hmm... I wonder what frozen pudding would be like?
liberation party
Aug 7 2004, 01:21 PM
It depends on the brand. The generic stuff tastes like crap, and freezing most pre-packaged pudding cups doesn't work all that well, but making frozen pops out of Jello brand vanilla or chocolate produces surprisingly good results. Oh, and I once froze the lemon-flavored pudding cups for a yummy treat. The consistency is a little off, but they're passable if you have a major craving for frozen tangy sugary goodness.

Now, frozen MILK is just nasty.

This could go under the spoken requests thread, but I feel it is more appropriate to post here, under things I am thankful for.
My mom was taken to the ER the other day after a small spell, which indluded a possible seizure and a brief period of unconsciousness. When I arrived, she was able to talk, respond and was very lucid. We were first told she had pneumonia in her lower left lobe, as well as a urinary tract infection. They want to admit her. NOT in THAT hospital! We were able to transfer her to Newton General where she was admitted into a small suite ! A sofa bed, kitchenette, living area, which is awesome so that dad don't have to sleep in the rotten chair-beds.
They Dr had a radiologist read her x-ray, and dang, there is no pneumonia. This is another huge blessing.
The Dr. did speak with my sister yesterday and told her mom would probably not get any better, and her time left on this earth is short. Sad? Yes, you bet. At peace? Yes, you bet. This is the first time ever our family has spoken about the death of a loved one so open and honestly. I was even able to speak with my mom today and we talked a little bit about it. We, as a family, will be heading to the funeral home in the next week or so to go ahead and make all arrangements, which will save us that stress when the day does come.
I have been completely, totally blessed, and I am eternally thankful for the mom and dad I am blessed with, and a family who is closer than most other families that I know.
God is in control and has blessed us with His grace and mercy for the days ahead.
God bless you all!

Net effect of UMN connections to spinal cord is INHIBITORY to the LMN in gray matter; thus, damage to the UMN systems produces an extended posture, increased to normal muscle tone, & increased spinal cord reflexes

Thanks Trudes,
Your comment caused me to reflect on how much I like shadows; I like them a lot. Rifling through my boxes of small prints to find more portraits with shadows leads me to realize I need to print some of the old negatives in dimensions suitable for my scanner.
