The early morning quiet after a nighttime snow. Ooh!
Christmas Eve candlelight service! When they turn out the lights and it's just our candles lighting up the church!
Walking through a wooded area when the leaves start falling and there's a slight nip in the air.
The ocean.
My husband calling me "sweetheart".
Sitting alone in my studio writing poetry when inspiration hits like a drug.
Listening to OTR. Wherever I am and whatever season OTR's music reminds me of summertime and barefeet. It also reminds me of the freedom I felt as a child to hope without the fear of reality coming in and squishing it. Oh, and lots of love.

She sure is.. our whole yard is full of little chunks of mad color. As we compost more and more soil she has me tear out more useless grass and she replaces it with these islands of blooming magic. Eventually, there will only be little grass pathways between the flowers. Anymore, I almost like staying home so I can get up in the morning and see what new eruption has occurred in the garden.

I like that too. There is some weird affirmation in seeing the facade of modern device fall away to reveal something older, obsolete but stronger or more pervasive. I like the texture of decay. Maybe some people are just better connected to the reality of entropy.

Me too! I'll stop for minutes in random city alleyways to just absorb the particular way the light hits a crumbling plaster wall or the rust of a balcony. Old Montreal is getting too squeaky clean and touristy for the most part, but there's something about buildings far older than the country in which I live that speaks to me.
One of my favorite things about my hometown used to be this square of sidewalk which, for years, bore a network of cracks which resembled a rough icthus on the corner near our home. When the pine needles fell from our protect-us-from-drunken-drivers tree, the outline would become a beautiful rust-red. They replaced the sidewalk last year. Boonieville will never be the same....
