I spent last week bidding a rather large church with a due date of last Friday, had the price ready for the G.C. (general contractor) Friday @3:30pm. On Monday, said G.C. asked for a quote for the audio/video section as an adder saying "think you get it to me in the next couple of hours?" A little more than a "couple hours" later he got his quote.

*fast forward to tuesday (yesterday) afternoon* The cell rings while I'm driving home. It was my dad, "Michelle, I just talked to the G.C. Congratulations." Yep, we got the job***. An $800,000+ job. Why a church is designed for $800,000+ in electrical work alone is beyond me - but hey, that's a whole other thread.

I'm still sorta tripping out. Didn't expect this as we're a union company and non-union guys bid it as well. Anyway, thought I share my shock & awe (<- har har) since some of you had to read me gripe about this bid in chat.
