Seeing folks of different ethnic backgrounds helping one another out. I was able to see an African-Amercian male assist a handicapped white woman load the groceries in her car. I love seeing that.
I also love seeing folks of different ethnicities enjoying friendships, relationships, family.
A few years ago, my brother had tickets to a hockey game so he, his son, a friend of his sons (who is AA) and I went. I love the fact that my brother is teaching his children what's inside that counts, not the outside.
Being in the South, this is so great to see.

Some of you know I gush about the chickens on the property and I'm gonna lay down some more 411 on the egg-layers.

There were 9 originally, all gotten at the same time (2 years now maybe) and raised together indoors, then put outdoors after their very cool chicken pen was built up. Several months ago my neighbors (tenants, technically, but i like saying neighbors) added 5 younger chicks to the brood. Turns out one was a rooster. Aside from the *cock-a-doodle-doo'ing* he was hen-humping machine. I laid down the "rooster needs to GO!" law and rooster went. But not before leaving some buns in the oven of one of the chickens. They found the eggs Sunday, same day they hatched.

WE'VE GOT 8 ITTY BITTY LITTLE CHICKS!!! And they are so stinkin' CUTE! Digital camera should be on the scene within the week and pictures wil be taken and posted. Some of you pry think I'm wack as they're just chickens. Big deal 'n all. But those betty's have been responsible for more smiles and laughs from me than you can imagine.

So yeah, long intro aside. Those adorable little chicks are now added to my favorite things. SO CUTE!
