Being in the Conyers Starbuck's, faintly hearing Karin singing over the speakers, "Slow down, Hold still..." um, Liz, would you turn that up please? Very cool.
Seeing my sister graduate from college tonight, having her mom and dad (mine, too) there to celebrate with her. Beautiful night all around.

I heard FFR in a coffee shop once. That rocked. I was hanging out with some people who had no idea who OTR was and I kept just drifting off and moving my lips along with the words and my friends were like "dude, what the hell is wrong with you?" Oh well...the music was good.
i once heard charlie peacocks "it's no suprise" in a fast food restaurant. i really needed that.

I heard something off of GDBD in a Starbucks in the Indianapolis airport.
I also have heard Peter Mulvey while in line at Chipotle (twice).

Yeah, this Starbucks I'm sitting in right now plays FFR from time to time. It's really kind of cool.
Finding out that there is a whole bunch of people in Portland who love OTR (though I seem to be the only one on the orchard).

Spending all afternoon with 4 great kids and getting some awesome photos, too.
Making some mighty tasty sketti sauce earlier in the week and serving it as part of 3 sketti dinners, 2 "sloppy joes" and, just tonight, 1 kick-ass pizza.
Realizing that this week leads into a 5-day weekend, which leads into a 2-day work week, which leads into a 3-day weekend. (Monday? BRING IT ON!!)

On a related note:
A couple of years ago, I was visiting with a stepcousin that I hadn't seen in years. She's a few years older than I am, and she told me that one of the things she remembered most about my sister and me, when we were kids, was how we were always laughing.
I loved that she remembered that most.

Betamax rules. I still have a bunch of stuff on Beta and Laserdisc. I really need to transfer it to DVD somehow...I've got some old out of print laserdiscs from the 80's that I don't think have been released on DVD.

I didn't see him. I missed some of it though. I only catch the show once or twice a month. Just seems like I don't see Milhouse. There isn't much about him on TheSimpsons.com. I was thinking maybe the character had been marginalized.

I was baptized when I was in jr. high, after going through confirmation, and in my church, you got water sorta sprinkled on your head. Well, I happened to be wearing a sundress that day (it was frilly and yellow and pretty, and my mom had made it, and I loved it ... but that's all beside the point, really), and everyone in church (well, everyone I talked to after the service, anyway!) SWORE that after the minister baptized me, they all saw me shiver when the water ran down and onto my bare shoulders!
