Beth Orton named an album after me? That's awesome. I never knew. I will now sign posts with variations on that title . . .

Kind of like the episode where he's dating the gymnist expecting, ummmm, an interesting experience, only to find out that she did not believe that gymnastics had no other purpose than competition. That will teach the shallow yuppy!!! Haha.

Not only that, but she'd been told that comedians were particularly extraordinary in bed, so BOTH of them were expecting the other to take command with extraordinary prowess.

2. Hearing her tell my (extremely small) class that the group has produced the best papers she has seen in years;

Since today my college celebrated
Fox Day, I was thinking about last year's Fox Day and how I went to see a play that evening with a friend of mine. I was rather smitten with him at the time, and I have to confess, my admiration is not entirely past, although my romantic feelings are.
Anyway, he has the most amazing blue eyes I have ever seen. They catch light like two cups, and sometimes seem to go on forever. They are especially nice when he is smiling, because they crinkle at the edges and get a little gleam in them. The night we went to see the play, he was wearing a black turtleneck, and the contrast was so exquisite that for several seconds I forgot how to form a coherent sentence.
He has an excellent voice as well, but if I dwell on that too long I might start to regret being single.

(Kidding.) But I have always been terribly fond of his eyes, so I figured I'd bare my soul for a couple paragraphs and risk being teased for it later.

That's alright. WE need to talk about our infatuations, so I'll share one of mine. There is this really cute barrista at a Starbucks I go to often. HEr name is Jen, and she is jus treally sweet and cute. She calls everyone "My dear," and always gets a big smile on her face when she sees me.
She has kind of anerd look going on, but that makes me all the more attracted to her. She's got black glasses (kind of small), and cute braids. Her hair was dishwater blonde, (though she recently dyed it red).
And her eyes are green.
My crush on her is pretty much over, but if I found out she was a christian, I would ask her out in ten seconds flat.
There, now anyone who teases Becky has to tease me as well.

Hmmm, not a bad song to start off a road trip!
: )
Personally, I'd opt for something a little faster ... but then again, given my track record with speeding tickets, perhaps slower songs would have a positive effect on my driving!
(OK, I'm exaggerating a bit ... but I did get 2 speeding tix over a 3-week span back in 2002 and then spent the next year or so on pins and needles, so to speak, trying to avoid that 3rd one!)
