Well, I thought I'd give round two of Rockstar a chance--mainly because I enjoyed the first one so much, but man is this one a stinker!! I absolutely cannot stand Dave Navarro and Tommy Lee--and Gilby from GnR and the Metallica bassist have absolutely no charisma. The vast majority of the rockers sucked unbelievably. I enjoyed the Australian guy who sang "Knockin' on Heaven's Door," the short girl who did the Janis Joplin song, but the only one who really blew me away was the African chick who completely owned "Lithium." Forget Kelly, she is Ozzie's true daughter!! I'll be honest, she frightened me a little, but in a good way!! So...I'm a little torn. I really want to see these three again, but I don't think I can take the rest of them (especially that chemist moron and the ex-realtor who tried to impress metal musicians with Coldplay!!! blink.gif ). Actually, I'll probably watch it but hate myself for doing it...

I don't understand this. Who's playing lead guitar? I mean, Gilby is a good rhythm player and a solid musician but he's never had a major gig playing lead guitar...I figured they'd get another semi-well known guitarist to come in to give the show some marquee value, but I guess not.

Then again, at least they're not trying to replace a dead guy this time, so it's slightly more tasteful.

Yeah, its a little easier to stomach, knowing that they are not trying to replace someone like Michael Hutchence. I can't watch anymore Rockstar.
